Charlize Theron and Sean Penn have had the engagement rumor mill churning for months. She wore a ring on that finger. They were reportedly planning to wed and adopt a child this summer. Nothing concrete ever materialized, though, so we all continued on with our lives.
Five months later, however, we've hit peak engagement season and boom — Theron and Penn have apparently been swept up into the whirlwind of proposal season. A source reportedly revealed to Us Weekly that one year into their courtship, the actors are ready to tie the knot.

Penn reportedly asked Theron to take their relationship to the "next level" during a romantic Parisian getaway last month. Despite the middle school-esque word choice, Us and other outlets that have picked up the tabloid's story have decided this means that Theron and Penn are a go for marriage.
It only makes sense if their first dance is to Steve Winwood's "Take Me To Higher Love" or Stevie Wonder's "Higher Ground." Those are some next-level wedding songs right there, if we're being entirely too literal about all of this. (Hollywood Life)
