Jennifer Aniston is taking on a serious role for Cake, which hits theaters January 23. It's a huge moment for her — since no one's quite ready to let her stop being Rachel from Friends. The role's also a deviation from her traditional rom-com casting. Yet, girlfriend cannot get through an interview without someone asking about her divorce from Brad Pitt 10 years ago.
In a segment for CBS Sunday Morning, Aniston addressed questions about whether it's still painful for her to be divorced from Pitt. "I don't find it painful, though," Aniston told producers. "I think it's a narrative that follows you because it's an interesting headline. It's more of a media-driven topic," she added. Indeed, the public has clung more to her previous romance than she has herself.

"You've moved on, clearly," the reporter commented. Aniston laughed, saying "Everybody has!"
Then, Aniston shut it all down. The reporter asked if she still talks to Pitt, or if they're friends. "We've exchanged good wishes and all that sort of stuff to each other, but not a constant thing. I mean, do you talk to your ex-wife?" she asked. "No...when I have to, I do," the reporter admitted.
"There ya go!" Aniston closed.
