Taylor Swift Makes A Mini Skirt Work For Winter

On the heels of what is perhaps the most formative year of her life thus far, Taylor Swift kicked things off wearing an oldie but a goodie: Those signature lace-up oxford pumps she couldn't get enough of last season have finally made their triumphant return. When Swift first moved to New York this past spring, she was photographed wearing dozens of different lace-up, heeled brogues, day after day. This very specific type of shoe is a little rocker, a little schoolmarm, and so very Taylor Swift.

Taylor revisited those beloved brogues this week, playing up their ladylike vibe against a plum-hued party skirt with a flirty, extra-short hem. Yes, in winter.
