Lupita Nyong’o’s Pre-Award-Show Style Proves She’s Just Like Us

Lupita Nyong'o doesn't have to work hard to impress us. She just steps onto the red carpet and flashes her mega-watt smile, and we swoon. Even though she's attending award shows as a guest this season, Nyong'o is still nabbing spots on every best dressed list — and unwittingly starting a couple of trends along the way. Before glamming up for Sunday's SAG awards, Lupita stepped out with a friend in L.A., wearing her weekend best: a casual, striped pullover with skinny jeans and oversized sunglasses. (It was all eerily similar to our own brunch uniform, if we do say so ourselves.) Instead of going with the starlet favorite, the black skinny jean, Lupita opted for a burgundy pair with a coated finish.
