Forget the films. Right now a troubling altercation involving actor Emile Hirsch is the talk of Sundance.
The 29-year-old Into The Wild star was partying at Park City's Tao nightclub this weekend when the incident occurred. A female film executive for Paramount Pictures accused Hirsch of assaulting her, and demanded that security get involved.
Police arrived, but no arrests were made. At this time it's unclear what exactly occurred between Hirsch and the woman, who remains anonymous.
“Something happened between the movie exec and Emile, and she said she had been assaulted and asked security to call the police," a witness told Page Six. According to the source, the actor stayed at the club until after he spoke with police. He left with friends early on Sunday morning.
The executive has not pressed any charges, while Tao and Paramount have declined to comment. An agent for the star, who is in town to promote the film Ten Thousand Saints, did not respond to Page Six's request for comment.
In the meantime, the Park City police told Page Six that they "are still investigating the details of the case and can’t provide any further information at this time.”
