We Can’t Stop Looking At These Cats Dressed As Their Owners

Forget everything you know about couples matching outfits — for a moment, at least. Because, a group of San Francisco cat enthusiasts just took twinning to the next level.

Cats are obviously some of the Internet’s favorite celebs, and for good reason: Felines make pretty swell companions, they're cuddly, and they do silly things. So, it was only a matter of time before this divine idea (from The Bold Italic's Kristin Cofer and Chin Lu) was born. The site photographed 10 stylish S.F. cat owners wearing the same outfits as their pets, and turned it into an amazing photo series. Pure gold.

The concept is pretty straightforward: Cofer and Lu asked their subjects to peer into their closets (with the help of stylist Danielle Garrabrants) and select the purrfect garment for going matchy-matchy with their furry friends. Then, they staged these pics.

The results are beyond entertaining, with sartorial personas ranging from rocker kitty to chambray-clad cats. It’s kind of our wish to see these sharply dressed animals hanging out at Cat Town Cafe in Oakland. For now, though, we'll have to entertain ourselves with the pics — and while it was a tough decision, we’ve selected a few of our favorite four-legged ensembles from the series, just ahead. We guarantee this will be the best thing you see all week.
