Rita Ora Reveals The Origin Of Her Signature Look & New Adidas Collab

It's safe to say that Rita Ora is shoe-obsessed. When we asked the singer-turned-fashion icon (and face of the new Adidas Superstars re-launch) how many shoes she's ever bought in one go, she coyly replied, "Oh, I'm ashamed to answer that one, honestly!" Perhaps this is to be expected from a woman who's just launched her fourth collection with the cult shoe label. "I've always been a sneakers kind of girl, but I love that kicks are now trendy in lots of circles, not just in hip-hop," Ora told us. "I would definitely wear an athletic-looking shoe on the red carpet, and I have many times! I think it's a great way to play up different elements of an outfit and to make it unique."
For her new line with Adidas, which drops March 1, Ora took inspiration from her own style signature — her bold, red lips. "Ever since seeing Gwen Stefani in her red lip, I've worn it as well and made it my own, so much so that my lips are highlighted in one of the graphics," she explained of the comic book-inspired prints adorning the line's sporty silhouettes. "Red lips are a look I never get sick of, but I have come to accept that sometimes, if my clothes are a bit loud, I need to tone it down." But, never one to play by the rules, the color volume is certainly turned up on Ora's latest offerings — and we wouldn't want it any other way.
