When we think "model off-duty," we picture leather jackets, super-skinny denim, and black booties. These tried-and-true staples are easy, look effortless, and photograph impossibly well — the trifecta of street style. This so-called uniform — in addition to the remnants of runway makeup and the absolute panic of rushing from one backstage to another — makes it easy to spot the models among the brightly-dressed, bundled-up showgoers. However, let's allow Karlie Kloss to break the norm and change our standards for the ever-important post-runway look. 

Supermodel by day and coder by night, Kloss is not one to stick to a single, defining category. This is reflected in her wardrobe, too: For the Michael Kors show, the model incorporated some business-casual inspiration into her outfit, mixing office staples (a blazer, button-down, and trousers) with fashion-y details (a crop top and a high waist). Instead of the Alexander Wang cutout boot spotted all over Lincoln Center, Karlie opted for a classy slingback, exposing her ankles in a Fashion Week move borrowed from BFF Taylor Swift, no doubt. This off-duty ensemble gives our moto-jacket-wired palate a tailored refresher — and serves as a reminder that Kloss is still queen.
