Our 2015 Oscar Predictions

You can't take these to the bank, but maybe you can take them to your Oscar party.
It's either fun or foolhardy to predict who will take home a little gold naked dude on Oscar night. There's an entire industry dedicated to awards' season prognostication that begins before the Academy Awards are even handed out! The downer of this game is that you have to put yourself in the shoes of the typical Academy voter, and that isn't a great place to be. Their identities are secret, but a 2012 article in The Los Angeles Times revealed just how white and male the voting body is, and brutally honest ballots like this one from The Hollywood Reporter are frankly depressing.
When it comes to the average Jane making Oscar predictions, it's a good idea to turn to experts like Sasha Stone at Awards Daily, who's been watching the Oscars like a hawk since 1999. Intuition plays a role but sadly, the winner usually isn't who or what you think should win. In any case, here are our best guesses for Sunday night. Don't blame us if you lose the Oscar pool, but if you win, well, you're welcome.
The Academy Awards air on Sunday, February 22, at 7 p.m. EST on ABC.
