The Only Makeup Looks You Need To See From Fashion Week

We already gave you the full runway report on the best hair of Fashion Week, so now it is time to revel in what was truly the showstopper of the season: the makeup.
Fall 2015 marks the first time in a long time that designers have moved away from the "no-makeup" thing and totally embraced color. "I think there's a real playfulness this season," Gucci Westman said backstage at Marchesa, where she proudly remarked that there was "an eye and a lip." There were electric lids at Jeremy Scott, dashes of graphic, bright liner at Zac Posen, bold pouts at both Phillip Lim and Carolina Herrera, and crystal underlining at Rodarte (right). Even Proenza Schouler — the design duo famous for bare faces and barely done hair, went for a dash of pure black on the eyes. (Backstage, we editors rejoiced.)
Hopefully, the passion for painting continues in London, Milan, and Paris. But, until then, click to get inspired by the best looks of New York Fashion Week.
