Stop Everything! Lena Dunham Is Moving to L.A.

Los Angeles deserves a round of applause this morning, because we’re this close to officially winning over another New York-based celeb. TMZ reports that Girls creator and star Lena Dunham has thrown down nearly $2.7 million on a beautiful home just south of the Sunset Strip.
We spoke with Dunham’s real estate agent this morning and learned that while the listing hasn’t technically closed yet, it’s very close. (We're knocking on wood.) Of course, the star’s West Coast move makes total sense: She's partnered with Jenni Konner on a production company named A Casual Romance. And, where is the heart of film and television production? Right here in Tinseltown, of course.
As TMZ reminds us, this is a new love affair. In her cover article in Vogue’s February 2014 issue, Dunham is quoted as saying some lukewarm things about Hollywood. "I like Los Angeles, but more than two weeks and I start to get a very sad feeling," she told the magazine. "You eat well there, and you take hikes, and my dog loves it, but ultimately, it’s not the right place for me." It’s okay, Lena, we all say things we don't mean. We forgive you and welcome you with open arms.
