 Earlier this week, Taylor Swift was anointed the godmother of Jaime King’s anticipated infant. Just a day later, she’s already on her way to being the coolest godmother ever — never mind that the baby hasn’t even been born yet. 

Last night, Swift whisked the soon-to-be two-time mom away for an evening on the town to celebrate her big news. For the night out in Beverly Hills, Swift wore a corduroy circle skirt (just $26, because Taylor is nothing if not relatable) with a slouchy crop top. Leave it to the songstress who went 24 years without showing her belly button to make a short hemline and midriff-baring shirt look demure. The rich textures and body-skimming (but not skimpy) silhouettes of the two pieces kept things comfortable and on the conservative side. The rest of Swift's outfit was just as understated; she finished the look with rag & bone lace-up boots, a bright-red Cambridge satchel, and a swipe of matching lipstick.
