Just because Adam Driver is on Girls doesn't mean that he watches it. He may technically be a part of that hyperconnected, online-all-the-time, always available generation, but he wants no part of it. Driver talked all about it in a new interview with V Man.
"I definitely feel disconnected from my generation," he told the magazine. "The need to share everything doesn't make sense to me. Or that idea that you're somehow not speaking by not texting fast or e-mailing a certain amount."
And, though Driver understands that Girls tells stories that mean something to our generation, but he still won't tune in. "I try not to watch anything because I don't have control over it. But, I get what she's going for and I'm excited to be a part of that. I'm petrified of the Internet anyway. It doesn't quite make sense to me, that mass shaming without any empathy…I guess it goes back to being so certain about being right or wrong."
So, there you have it: Adam Driver is on Girls, but does not watch Girls, and he's terrified of the Internet because of the lack of empathy it fosters. We feel you, Adam Driver. (V Man)
