Kanye West’s Adidas Lookbook Leaked, And There Are A Lot Of Butts

Whether you witnessed it in person or via a flood of Instagram photos, by now you know that Kanye West’s New York Fashion Week presentation for his adidas collection wasn't really about the clothing. Sure, there were ripped sweatshirts and see-through bodysuits and those ultra-hyped sneakers, but between the soundtrack, his daughter North’s front row tantrum, and the rapper-cum-designer's cult of personality, the Yeezy Season 1 show was heavy on spectacle, not subtlety. And, in true Kanye fashion, the lookbook is no different.
The images reportedly first debuted in print form at Ye’s Paris Fashion Week concert earlier this week, and now they've all leaked online via Four Pins. Clocking in at around 46 pages, the lookbook features heavily filtered shots of the clothes at a variety of angles, including close-ups of the holey sweaters and ripped fabrics. Intersperse this with a few NFSW pics (like nude embraces, and plenty of boob shots) and you've got a teenage Tumblr-meets-adult-magazine sort of a vibe. It's dark and provocative enough to stash away from your parents, but not so scandalous you wouldn’t post it all over the Internet.
We do have to give him props for the model casting, though. While West's runway show employed some stunt casting (his teenage stepsister Kylie Jenner made her debut), it also featured a refreshing diversity, which has been maintained here: The photos include men and women of various ages, sizes, and ethnicities. And of course, Yeezy himself makes a cameo, in a profile shot wearing a crinkly black jacket.
Love him or loathe him, there's no denying that this is Kanye's latest representation of himself as a "real" artist. Click through a few (totally safe for work) lookbook images here, and let us know if it's enough to convince you to shell out your next paycheck for a piece of Mr. West — or, if you'd rather just wait for his album.
