The Rihanna Documentary Is Happening

Filmmaker Peter Berg has started a new production company. His first project? Bad Gal RiRi. According to Deadline, Berg has just launched Film 45, which produces "non-scripted and branded entertainment for film, TV, and other platforms." Berg has partnered with Matthew Goldberg, a TV and documentary producer, for the new company. The untitled Rihanna documentary will be one of Film 45's inaugural features. Deadline reports it will be an "unfiltered look into Rihanna's life and how she's ascended to become a global icon." Berg promises the doc will be "much more a character study than a music film." There is not yet a release date for the documentary.  This isn't RiRi's first time on film (and, perhaps coincidentally, Battleship was also under Berg's direction). But, this will give us an inside perspective on one of the most talked about celebrities of our generation.
