The House From American Horror Story Finally Sold For $3.2 Million

Having your property featured in a hit movie or a TV show usually means bank. Carrie Bradshaw's Manhattan pad was sold for close to $10 million back in 2012 — and for $20,000 higher than the asking price. The owners of Walter White's house get, well, lots of free pizza. Yet, such is not the case for the Alfred F. Rosenheim Mansion, the season 1 backdrop for the popular American Horror Story series.

The spooky dwelling finally sold for $3.2 million, taking a drastic cut from the initial asking price of $17 million. The home dates back to 1908 and is no doubt a Hollywood favorite, with location credits in Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Dexter. The Tudor-style abode features a billiard room, five fireplaces and stained-glass windows throughout. It probably would have sold like hotcakes had it not racked up so much street cred in the "You're Going To Die Here" department.
