Break out the Peri-Peri sauce! Or, better yet, don't.
An enterprising (and sticky-fingered) Kanye West fan is selling leftovers from a Nando's meal the rapper enjoyed in London last month. As of now, some 38 bids have been placed on eBay, driving the price up to £8,000.
Here's what you get for that chunk of change: Literally, a stained, crumpled napkin paired with a sad Nando's chip container that's empty, save for one lonely little chip. Is there at least a dash of Peri-Peri salt on it?
The seller explains that the meal came from Nando's' 02 branch, before Kanye's performance at the Brit Awards on February 25.
"I did not want to sell, as I am a massive fan, but need the money really, so hope it goes to someone as avid as myself," the poster wrote. It seems the posting is actually a relisting; the original buyer didn't pay for the purchase. Maybe he or she just figured that they could buy, say, 1,000 uneaten, flame-grilled chicken sandwiches for that price? If West knows what's good for him, he'll join the Clean Plate Club when he hits Glasto. "To hell with all that rubbish," and all that. (First We Feast)
