For 24 hours on the first day of April, no one is safe. Hijinks, pranks, and tricks abound. You can play Google Maps like it's Pac-Man. You can buy a Honda HR-V, the "Selfie Edition." Funny or Die has launched "Dips," touted as "the Internet's shortest videos" with "1.5 seconds of looping comedy content." Perhaps a coworker placed a Post-It note underneath your mouse, and now you're sitting there, banging it on your mouse pad, cursing the gods that nothing ever seems to go your way. This day is rough, and Taylor Swift has the perfect strategy for dealing with it.
For the next 24 hours, TRUST NO ONE.

Swift is adopting a Purge-like mentality, and she's encouraging everyone to do the same. If you've got a bunch of pranksters in your life, this might be the best way to handle things until the clock strikes midnight and welcomes April 2. Just hunker down and don't believe anything anyone says. And, be glad you're not actually living in The Purge, because that shit was cray.
