Pity the media outlet that tries to cause drama in one of Hollywood's tightest-knit female tribes. Recently, the Inquisitr ran an article titled "Taylor Swift Reportedly Fights With Lorde, Encourages Camila Cabello To Pull A Zayn Malik & Leave Fifth Harmony." It was posted in the opinion section, so that should have been the first tip-off that what you were about to read was a matter of pure conjecture. According to the article (slash op-ed), best friends Lorde and Taylor are finding themselves in a bit of a snit over a potential collaboration. "The two singers were BFFs, but it doesn't appear that way anymore since the 'Royals' singer doesn't want to record a duet with Swift, according to Celebrity Dirty Laundry. The report says that Lorde won't record with her best friend because their voices don't 'mesh well' together," Inquisitr writes. "Lorde may join Taylor Swift for sleepovers and shopping sprees, but don't expect the pop superstar to invite her blonde bestie into the recording studio anytime soon," OK! Magazine adds. Again, perish the outlet that publishes such specious speculation about international superstars and BFFs. Taylor Swift took to Twitter to shut. it. DOWN.

Lorde retweeted Swift's admonishment, then added another line of her own. "Sisters are doin' it for themselves," she wrote. We assume that immediately afterward, the two got on FaceTime and watched The First Wives Club together. And, everything was fine and dandy in Lorde and Taylor land. Merry Christmas to all, and to all, a good night.  (E! Online)
