Drake's success appears to be a sure thing these days. Between headlining closing night at Coachella and a forthcoming album, titled Views From The 6, the Canadian rapper apparently had the good fortune of partnering with one of music's more revered icons. In a lengthy interview with Four Pins, Drake confirmed that at least one song on his new record will feature a collaboration with none other than Beyoncé.
No specific details about the track have been released, but it's one of two songs on the LP the rapper is happy with. It's also safe to say that the partnership could inform the musical direction of the album overall, and shake up Drake's sound. In the profile, the rapper agreed with the notion that Views From The 6 — a reference to the area codes of his native Toronto — needs to "shock listeners just as much as it needs to impress them."
It also sounds as if the album is slow coming, so it could be a while before listeners get to hear the new Drake. Then again, Queen Bey has a history of stopping by Coachella for a surprise performance. So perhaps their collab could hit the airwaves as soon as this Sunday night. Fingers crossed! (Four Pins)
