Not since Mindy Kaling's Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) have we been so psyched for a celeb essay collection. Anna Kendrick just signed a publishing deal, and if her mad Twitter skills are any indication, it's going to be totally awesome.
The yet-to-be-titled book is set to publish in fall 2016. In it, Kendrick will touch on "memorable moments throughout her life," from growing up in Maine to making it big in Tinseltown, through a series of humorous, autobiographical essays. Touchstone Publishers described the actress as a "rare entertainer whose impressive arsenal of talents is equally matched by her sharp wit and wry observations about life."
Kendrick, for her part, said that she is excited to publish her first book, and "because I get uncomfortable when people have high expectations, I'd like to use this opportunity to showcase my ineptitude, pettiness, and the frequency with which I embarrass myself." Which is, of course, exactly the sort of thing we'd expect the woman who just went on Lip Sync Battle and rocked J. Lo's "Big Booty" to say (for more on that, check out the video below).
We've come to adore Anna Kendrick for what can best be described as her realness. She's funny, she's crazy talented — but best of all, she’s fearless. And, we can't wait to read her book!
