Cynthia Nixon Plays “Which Sex And The City Character Are You?” & Nails It

Rex USA
While we would contend that Sex and the City made a number of important sociological contributions to the cultural fabric of the late ‘90s and early aughts, one stands above the rest. The personalities of its four leading ladies gave women a code for self-definition, by means of a simple question that communicates volumes about personal identity. That question is “Which SATC character are you?” and it lives on through the conversations we have with our girlfriends as well as a segment of Andy Cohen’s show, Watch What Happens Live. Recently, Cynthia Nixon — who both portrayed Miranda and appears to be a Miranda in real life — stopped by Cohen’s show and played a little round of the game herself. Before getting started, the actress confirmed that it was not possible to get the answers wrong (“This is an opinion, right?” she asked) before rattling off her thoughts about which famous people synced up to SATC personalities. From where we stand, Nixon was spot on: She said that the current Queen Elizabeth is definitely a Charlotte, along with Michele Bachmann (yep, accurate). Oprah and Michelle Obama are both total Carries, while Beyonce is a Samantha. Hillary Clinton, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Lena Dunham are all Carries according to Nixon, which makes total sense since they are all lady bosses. The only surprise was when she lumped Gandhi into the Mr. Big camp. We might have gone with Aiden — patient, march-to-your-own-beat Aiden — for that one. Then again, Nixon is the expert, and despite our obsessive SATC  watching, who are we to call her opinion into question? Miranda always did know best. Visit BravoTV to see the whole clip.
