As soon as the Met Ball ended, Gigi Hadid ditched her Louboutins for a shoe that's much more conducive to dancing all night: the sneaker. From a practicality standpoint, it's a no-brainer swap. And, comfort aside, old-school tennis shoes like Hadid's shell-toes also happen to look totally cool with black-tie dresses. But, they don’t have to skew high-fashion; the classic Adidas Superstar works just as well for more low-key moments, too.
Gigi proved the shoe's versatility yesterday when she stepped out to run errands in the same kicks she'd worn the night before (at Rihanna's Met Gala after party, no less). Embracing athleisure, Hadid matched a cropped tee to her Adidas stripes. A pair of distressed Goldsign jeans and a sleek, black moto jacket pulled it all together — and balanced out all the skin she was flashing.
This is how a supermodel does sporty. But, you don’t have to have runway experience to try it yourself.
