This Week In Pants, “Jeggings” Is Added To The Dictionary

Welcome to Week in Pants — a column where we celebrate all the best things that happened to your legs in the past seven days.
It’s been a long time in the making, but a certain style of pants earned some very special recognition this week. The denim/legging hybrid has been officially recognized by Merriam-Webster. Now, when your grandmother asks what a “jegging” is, you can tell her to look it up. Or, you can not be an ingrate to the woman who essentially gave you life, and tell her that it's "a legging that is designed to resemble a tight-fitting pair of denim jeans and is made of a stretchable fabric." How hard was that? And now, neither of you has to invest in the unabridged dictionary.
In other legwear news, one presidential hopeful memorialized her favorite pants trend on a piece of campaign swag, and a certain crew of Pixar characters might be taking credit for your favorite street style ensemble for summer.
