With so much build-up — thanks to the staggered (and social media-crazed) release of character posters — for a four-minute video, it's hard to shake off the celebrity alter egos we met briefly in Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" music video. The frenzy began when the singer announced supermodel and pal Lily Aldridge as the first guest appearance. To fuel the fire, Swift offered fans the tidbit that each star chose their own name for the shoot. This might explain, then, the "when life imitates art" moment that was Aldridge's latest outfit.
In case you've forgotten, the model embodied the blade-throwing snow angel by the name of Frostbyte for her friend's music video. And, from the looks of it, those 10 seconds of material left a mark on the model's off-duty wardrobe. For an unusually chilly June (June!) stroll, Lily paired a light knit from J Brand with a much more summery pair of flowy Chloé trousers — all slightly different shades of white and reminiscent of the model's "Bad Blood" persona. Two-toned, pointed-toe flats diversified her color palette in the most subtle way (adding a dash of beige into the mix). And, with the poise of a seasoned supermodel who rarely slips up on the runway, she bravely sipped on some hot coffee, unconcerned with the possibility of a spill.
Lily Aldridge's Frostbyte-esque ensemble comes right as summer kicks off (although, someone please remind Mother Nature of what month it is). So, whether it's a family get-together or a #squad meeting you have in the books, take a cue from Aldridge's warm-weather monochrome style, ahead.
