Someone wise once said that all newborn babies look like Winston Churchill. That's just because Princess Charlotte hadn't been born yet at the time. Kensington Palace has just shared the above, the first of the official portraits of the new baby and her big bro, Prince George.
The portrait was taken in mid-May, according to the palace's Twitter. That would be just weeks after Charlotte's May 2 birth and first .
Is it due to the magic of photography (or many, many takes) that both brother and sister look so serene? Is there sibling rivalry brewing underneath George's sweet contemplation of this new little thing? Is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana on the brink of spitting up on those crisp white garments? Well, something tells us the rest of these photos, which are to be posted on the royal Facebook account, won't reveal that one way or the other.
Worth noting: The Instagram caption says it was the Duchess of Cambridge herself who took this pic. Those are some superhuman mommy skills, Your Highness.
Oh, and here's the second pic, now with more George face!
