Who she is: Refinery29's beauty director
What she brings to the table: Megan has been at the helm of Refinery29 Beauty since 2011. Prior to that, she was up to her eyeballs in beauty products as an editor at Women's Wear Daily. Thanks to her trade background, she's got the DL on all of the major beauty players, from the indie upstarts to the multi-billion-dollar conglomerates. While she's done her fair share of celebrity interviews, backstage reporting, and trend spotting, her first love has been and will always be products. She has some very strong feelings about lipstick and, according to her husband, needs a nail-polish-hoarding intervention.
Best beauty tip: "I've always hated 'foundation face' — that powdery, product-y finish that you tend to get when using face makeup. My trick for making base look like skin is to mix a tinted moisturizer or BB with a few drops of a liquid illuminator (& Other Stories has a totally boss one launching this September) and a drop of face oil. Mix the concoction together then apply to your face. It'll look like your skin, but glowier and more airbrushed."
