Martha Stewart Throws Parties For 100+ People In This Historic Estate

If there's one thing that's endlessly fascinating to the American public (right up there with how Kim Kardashian is styling her ponytail or where Beyoncé and Jay-Z are having dinner), it's how Martha Stewart is living. And, while many celebs have adopted a #nofilter policy, Ms. Stewart tends to be a bit more guarded — until today.

The nation's preeminent domestic goddess invited Architectural Digest into Skylands, her 12-bedroom estate off the coast of Maine. Sitting on 63 well-groomed acres, the historic property was built as a summer home for automotive titan Edsel Ford — yes, that Ford — and remained in his family until 1980. “I look at myself as the caretaker of an American treasure,” Stewart told the magazine.
