Update: Well, that was fast. Kim Kardashian took to Twitter a short while ago to shoot down basically every rumor that's been published since she announced her pregnancy. "[S]o many rumors...we are not having twins, yes I am carrying my own baby lol & we have not told anyone the sex of our baby yet!" Kim tweeted. "Nothing is confirmed unless you hear it from me!" she followed up. Do remember that we're dealing with the Kardashians here. They like to be in control of their own narrative and disseminating news through channels designed to give them the most publicity. Kim's second pregnancy was announced in a trailer for upcoming episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. No matter what the sex of her baby (and whether she's carrying twins), one thing is guaranteed: The public will find out that information via a Kardashian-approved outlet at a carefully selected time. The following post was published at 10:30 a.m. on June 10, 2015:
Huzzah! Let the bells ring out across the land. Our nation's royal couple is expecting another heir. Kim Kardashian, she of the great reality show clan that resides in the rolling hills of Calabasas is reportedly due in December. Will this baby be a boy or a girl? Only time and tabloids would tell, and the latter won that age-old race today. Us Weekly is reporting that "multiple sources" close to Kim and Kanye know the couple is expecting a baby boy. "Kanye loves Nori more than anything, but to make his world complete he wanted a little boy, an heir. He's overjoyed!" a source told Us Weekly. As with all anonymous sources, we take whatever they say with much skepticism, especially because this one appears to have come from the seventeenth century. That's the only way to explain the source's apparently belief that only male children can inherit land, titles, or anything else from their parents. Also, will Kanye's world really not be complete without a little boy? He may not smile in photos, but Kanye West seems to be doing just fine. Regressive beliefs about daughters and sons aside, a "Kardashian pal" told Us that Kim also wants North to have a brother. "Kim always wanted two kids. A girl and a boy." That sounds more believable, but we've reached out to her rep for comment. This has been today's update from the front lines of Kimye Baby 2015. (Us Weekly)
