Taylor Swift’s Cat, Olivia Benson, Met Her Namesake

Olivia Benson is a fictional character on the drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, portrayed by Mariska Hargitay. Benson is the Sergeant and Commanding Officer at the 16th Precinct of the New York City Police Department. Olivia Benson is also Taylor Swift's cat. Last night, backstage at the second night of the Philadelphia stop of Swift's 1989 World Tour, the two met. And, as Taylor says in the video, "Things are going well."

Cats are usually pretty friendly if you give them treats. Usually.
Hargitay, who appeared alongside Swift (and Ellen Pompeo, the actress who plays Meredith Grey, namesake of Swift's other cat [we can't keep up either!]) in her "Bad Blood" music video, also appeared onstage with Swift and model-turning-actress Cara Delevingne on day one of the Philadelphia stop.

On night two, Hargitay returned (why wouldn't you?) and spent some time dancing onstage with Swift again, as their alter egos Justice and Catastrophe. Because, if you're Taylor Swift you can name your cat after a character on a TV show, become friends with the actress playing that character, and convince her to meet your cat. If you're Taylor Swift.
