It's jail time for Screech. Dustin Diamond, still known for his work on Saved By The Bell, was sentenced to 120 days in jail and 15 months probation, Refinery29 has confirmed.
The actor was arrested in the early hours of December 26, 2014, following an incident at a Wisconsin bar. According to the Associated Press, Diamond "said he... accidentally stabbed a man during an altercation," and the sentencing follows a guilty verdict for counts of carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct.
In video provided by TMZ, Diamond — one of the executive producers of Lifetime's The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story — said: "Your Honor, let me express just how sorry I am that a night that centers around celebrating peace and love can turn into a night of immense regret for the rest of one's life."
