Amy Schumer Couldn’t Care Less About Your Opinions Of Her Body

Amy Schumer keeps on winning. Whether she's photobombing, putting people in their place on the Bachelorette, or summing up our coffee shop romances, the comedian knows how to put a smile on your face. She also knows how to stir up quite a bit of commotion; blatant honesty supplemented by humor tends to do that. Either way, Schumer's proved she prefers to speak her mind, yet again, and this time her words are inspiring. On June 26, the Trainwreck star opened up about her body image in People magazine. "It's very therapeutic for me to be like, 'Yes, I'm not going to look like a malnourished bird,' and I like speaking to that, as well as speaking to my work and what I'm doing," she said at a press conference for the new film in Los Angeles. This isn't the first time Schumer has been candid about issues regarding her body. Earlier this month she addressed her weight during her Trailblazer Award speech, at Glamour UK's Women of the Year event. One of the worst parts about being a female celebrity is the constant scrutiny received regarding your looks. Schumer is clearly handling it with a bad ass attitude, and enviable confidence. Cheers to that! Here's hoping such positivity (with a hint of humor of course) continues in Hollywood. (People)
