If there was ever any doubt that Michelle Williams was the premiere lady of South Brooklyn, all such rumors can be put to rest now that she's purchased "The Tara of Prospect Park South." At least, that's what the real estate agency calls it, and frankly, it's not that big a stretch.
The Colonial Revival house, which sits on Albemarle Road, has 18 rooms, eight bedrooms, six bathrooms, a master wing, a sun room, and eight working fireplaces, among other luxurious touches. (The home office includes a private porch, should Michelle feel like stepping outside for a moment without hauling ass all the way to the two-story front porch with "fluted Ionic columns.")
From the pictures, it's clear the place needs a bit of interior work. There's visible wear and tear, plus the previous owner seems to have had, well, shall we say lavish taste. Still, it's hard not to seethe with real-estate envy. But go ahead — look and seethe. You know you want to.
According to local blog Ditmas Park Corner, Williams was quoted as saying, "I love living somewhere that feels like the suburbs but is next to an express train." Well, yeah. Congratulations, Michelle, we sort of hate you now. But also, can we come over?
