Kim Kardashian Didn’t Always Want To Show You Her Curves

No matter what her life looks like now, there were times in Kim Kardashian's preteen years when she was exactly like most of us: insecure about her body and sexuality. During an hour-long interview last week in San Francisco for the Commonwealth Club's Innovation lab, the reality TV star spoke about her formative years, as well as about how her whole family is experiencing Caitlyn Jenner's transition, CBS reports. "I would sit in the bath tub and pray that I would stop developing," Kardashian admitted of when she started getting her famous curves at 11, before older sister Kourtney. She credits her late father, Robert Kardashian, with encouraging her to be more confident, though he might not have wanted her to take it as far as she has. "He'd kill me for the magazine stuff, but I think he'd look past it."
She also justifies the extent to which her selfies turn her into a sexual object. "I've taken them. I'm proud of them. There's power in that. There's a control. Even if I'm objectifying myself, I'm OK with that." At the event, Kardashian's words about Jenner were few but also honest. "Unless you're actually going through it, you'll never 100 percent understand it. Caitlyn is so grateful for all of that … Everyone has a different emotional transition to find their own way to support it. Caitlyn has helped me learn to be less judgmental of others."
