How many teens can call the Commander in Chief "Dad," and Lena Dunham "Boss"? By our count, only one.
Malia Obama is putting her summer break to good use by adding yet another TV industry work credit to her resume. Following her stint interning for the Halle Berry drama Extant, the 17-year-old First Daughter is reportedly working on the set of HBO's Girls.
“She’s a fan, and she mentioned that to Lena [Dunham] when she came to the White House,” a source close to the production told Us Weekly. “I’m not sure how long she’ll be interning for. It’s a bit of a trial thing for her. They’ve known each other and discussed for a while. Lena and her get along great.”
The teen's tasks reportedly include delivering coffee and keeping the Brooklyn set safe from onlookers. Having a Secret Service detail might come in handy with that last one. Good work, kid.
HBO has not yet responded to our request for comment.
