Shop Cupcakes & Cashmere’s Affordable New Clothing Line Before It’s Gone

Sure, a blogger designing a clothing collection is nothing new. In fact, one may even say it's the natural progression for those on top of the blogroll world. To wit: Fashion Toast's Rumi Neely has Are You Am I, while Chiara Ferragni's made her millions in part by designing shoes. But rare is the collection that's well suited for everyday — that is, something that's both wearable and affordable.

Enter L.A. blogger Emily Schuman's newest venture: Cupcakes & Cashmere, the clothing line. Leveraged off her successful blog of the same name, the collection drops today and features the kind of L.A. minimalist vibes Schuman celebrates in her posts: lightweight coats, breezy dresses, and solid separates. Plus, they're all between $80 and $180 a pop.

Naturally, all 60 pieces were inspired by California and bear the names of local haunts in L.A., Malibu, and Schuman's hometown of San Francisco. Our advice? This is round one of three shipments, all of which can be mixed and matched and are designed for L.A. weather. (Expect slightly heavier jackets and real leather pieces coming in fall.)
