Sorry, But Daniel Day-Lewis’ 20-Year-Old Model Son Is Taken

The last time we heard from Gabriel-Kane Day-Lewis, he was a student at Sarah Lawrence College. He'd just released his first music video, in which he rapped about being a "stoop kid" from NYC who preferred to be called Gabe Day instead of Gabe Day-Lewis. That was in 2013. Two years later, the Day-Lewis Jr. who has emerged at Paris Fashion Week is happy to use his famous father's last name. Oh, and sorry, but he appears to be taken. More on that later, though. This Gabriel Day-Lewis seems confident in the springboard his last name will provide, because he'll be using it to launch into different fields than his father: modeling — he's signed with IMG — and a singer-songwriter career that's decidedly different from his Sarah Lawrence rapping days — he's releasing an EP in July. It would be tough to distance himself too much from his father, anyway, given their strong family resemblance. That chiseled Day-Lewis jawline and those piercing eyes are dead giveaways. Gabriel's mother is French actress and singer Isabelle Adjani, so you might consider his musical sensibility hereditary, too. The young Day-Lewis was everywhere at Paris Fashion Week. He escorted Julianne Moore at the Chanel Couture show, in which he also walked. He posted a photo with "the Chanel Squad" that included Karl Lagerfeld. He dined with Karlie Kloss. Naomi Campbell invited him to join her at the Burberry table for the Vogue Paris dinner. He met Kris Jenner. He was the talk of the town. Celebrity offspring who are easy on the eyes tend to generate attention no matter what they do. But Day-Lewis seems genuinely committed to his work, and to his #wcw — a.k.a. Elise Mascia, his girlfriend of over a year. "She's been my anchor for eight months now. She's seen me at my worst and made me feel my best when I've felt utterly hopeless. When I would lose my way she would help me find it again. I know I haven't been easy, I've had to figure things out for myself but she's been at my side no matter what's come our way. It's people like her that remind me that there's every reason to have faith in how beautiful life can be," Day-Lewis captioned the photo he shared of the couple on Valentine's Day. According to Irish website Evoke, Mascia is also a model. Here they are being all lovey-dovey in the City of Love. C'est adorable.

Gabriel-Kane appears to be off the market, but Daniel Day-Lewis does have two more sons: Ronan Cal (born in 1998) and Cashel Blake (born in 2002).
