It's probably safe to assume that Ariana Grande will never darken the doorway of a doughnut shop again. The pop star is still facing heat over her cruller-licking, America-blasting antics at a California doughnut shop. The incident is under investigation, Rob Lowe is pissed, and some were left feeling that her original apology/rant about obesity was a little disingenuous.
What's a gal to do? Take two. Last night, the singer posted a second video apology, clarifying her earlier remarks and taking added responsibility for her bad behavior.
The video, titled "Sorry babes," shows Grande in the throes of recovery following her wisdom teeth removal, apologizing again for the "doughnut shop fiasco and craziness."
"I wanted to make a video to apologize again for the whole donut fiasco and craziness, because I feel like the apology that I posted, I kind of missed my opportunity to actually sincerely apologize and express how I was feeling, because I was too busy preaching about my issues with the food industry," she shared. "So here I am, apologizing again. I was trying to get you to understand where I was coming from when I said what I said. But that's not important, I'd rather just apologize," she explained.
"I've actually never been prouder to be American, to be honest, with the advances that we've made in the past couple of months," she continued. "Here I am apologizing to y'all, puffy cheeks and all. Seeing a video of yourself behaving poorly that you have no idea was taken is such a rude awakening that you don't know what to do. I was so disgusted with myself... Seeing how ugly it looks when you behave a certain way makes you want to never behave that way again. But you learn from it... I never want to be anything but a positive influence to my babes... I feel like I let you all down, which sucks."
You can watch the video apology below. Do we forgive her yet?
