What Alexa Chung Wears On A Coffee Run In NYC

Well, Karlie Kloss has already schooled us on how to make a backpack work with a summery dress. Now, everyone’s fashion crush, Alexa Chung, shows us how to wear a quilted backpack with a fall-friendly, floral mini-dress. And, she does it all without looking the least bit ‘90s.

Alexa, per usual, deftly put together a sporty-meets-girly (and totally non-throwback) outfit. It was perfect for a coffee run with the former Eric Northman — also known as Alexander Skarsgård. First, her floral mini-dress dress has subtle but interesting details: a contrast-print mock turtleneck, flow-y cuffs, and slightly high waistline. The all-around It Girl opted for a light and soft quilted backpack to stash her stuff. (Plus, since the top of her dress is fitted, the backpack straps didn’t create bunching at the arms like they might with a looser frock.) To temper any twee-ness from the florals and miniature rucksack, Alexa effortlessly pulled off streetwear-cool Adidas kicks.
