Update: Taylor Swift apologized to Nicki Minaj on Twitter on July 23, writing, "I thought I was being called out. I missed the point, I misunderstood, then misspoke. I'm sorry, Nicki."

If you thought the Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift feud was winding down, think again. The two may have quieted down on Twitter, but Swift's good 'ol pal Katy Perry has piped in with her two cents. The fellow pop star weighed in with a not-so-subtle tweet. "Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman..." she wrote. Quick recap: Nicki Minaj shared her frustration with the 2015 MTV VMA nominations on July 21. The rapper lamented that her "Anaconda" video was left off the list of Video of the Year nominees, intimating that the omission reflected that hers was not the sort of body being celebrated by the award. (Her video was, however, nominated for Best Female Video, Best Hip-Hop Video and Best Collaboration.) There are several legitimate reasons why Perry would side with Minaj, as the rapper sparked an important conversation about Black women not receiving adequate credit for their contributions to pop music — a relevant issue Piers Morgan doesn't appreciate. But Perry also has her own motivations for speaking against Swift, in an ongoing rivalry that is unfortunately all too familiar. The singers have long-standing issues with each other, which have led some to believe that Swift's "Bad Blood" is about Perry. In June, rumors also circulated that Perry was writing a rebuttal tune about Swift. Hopefully these two can put an end to their arguments, but Perry's words indicate that might be a bit of long shot. See for yourself below.
