Calvin Harris’ #TBT Is Endearingly Geeky

Today, he's got Taylor Swift as a girlfriend, a major underwear model side gig, abs for days, and the distinction of being one of the world's most famous DJs. But not so long ago, Calvin Harris was just a Scottish lad hanging in the pub with his mates. And yeah, he also had a pretty terrible haircut. Harris (real name: Adam Richard Wiles) shared a throwback photo of his younger, geekier self on Instagram this week. Here he is at a gig in 2002, when he would have been 18 (by the way, his now-girlfriend Swift, would have been a pre-teen contemplating moving to Nashville). And little did he and his face-pulling pal know that one day this photo would be called a selfie. So much has changed.

Does it matter that Harris, like everyone else on the planet, had an awkward phase? Not really. It's just endearing to see him not try to gloss over it now that he's a blond, tanned heartthrob with perfect teeth. Feel free to throw us something similar next Thursday, man.
