Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Kim Richards, was arrested on August 2 after allegedly shoplifting over $600 in items at a Target store in Van Nuys, KTLA reports.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that Richards, 50, was initially placed under a “citizen's arrest,” by Target security after allegedly stealing more than 70 unnamed objects. She was then booked at the LAPD’s Valley Jail in Van Nuys that evening.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time Richards has been detained by police. In April the former actress was charged with several infractions including public intoxication.
Richards’ struggle with sobriety has been openly displayed and discussed since she first joined Bravo’s reality TV franchise in 2010. Although she’s gone back and forth with dodging the topic in reunion episodes, Richards recently opened up about her addiction and arrest with Dr. Phil.
Richards was soon released from jail on August 3, after posting a $5,000 bail. (KTLA)
