Chrissy Teigen Has A Message For Her Online Haters

In many incredible, wonderful, self-possessed ways, Chrissy Teigen is sort of like the iconic honey badger: She is living her life, and she does not give a shit. She takes baby aspirin with vodka. She strips down on the cover of Women's Health. And yes, she does lick the nacho cheese seasoning off of Doritos bags but she wants you to know that it has nothing to do with having an eating disorder. But just because Teigen is doing her thing and succeeding at life, it doesn't mean she's immune to nasty comments. She has feelings and it hurts when people call her fat on Instagram. The 29-year-old model and wife to John Legend recently shared her thoughts about being bullied on social media with Us Weekly. “It’s almost like fucking walking up to somebody, or going to somebody’s house, knocking on the door and being like, ‘You’re fat'. I don’t know if they think they’re ballsy or what," she said of the people who tag her in shaming posts. "But if you’re going to speak negatively about me, just do me a favor and don’t tag me in it.” Teigen, who is working on a cookbook, also said that she reads nearly 100% of the comments people leave on her accounts. "I mean, I think that people think that when they send you things, it goes off into space and you don’t care," she said. "The worst is when you respond and they’re like, ‘Oh, I didn’t think you would read that! I love you! Oh my god!’ Like, that’s the worst.” She also 'fessed up to the agenda behind those nipple-heavy Instagram photos: "I love and respect Instagram so much. Obviously I was getting in a lot of trouble for posting and posting and posting my nipple over and over and over again like a child. It wasn't meant to be a big feminist statement, a big campaign…it would be nice if women could have the same rights as men. Wouldn't it be so wonderful if we could just be able to do that?” We hear you, Chrissy — and yep, it would be so nice.
