It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a famous female in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a husband. This is especially if she's been dating her boyfriend for several years now. When she appears at public functions, there is certainly nothing more pressing to discuss than when she and her partner plan to wed. It is simply absurd they have yet to announce their betrothal. Such is basically the news cycle surrounding Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama these days. Their impending nuptials, although not actually impending at all, are the subject of many an Internet article and red carpet interview.
Just today, E! News published an article titled "Demi Lovato Talks Wedding Planning." Is Demi Lovato engaged? No; she is not. "I'm literally turning 23 this week," the singer told E!, possibly hinting at her annoyance over being pressured to wed. "There's no rush. We've been together so long [that] there's no rush."
The "wedding planning" of which E! spoke in the headline was that of the fictional variety that Lovato said "every girl does." She continued to E!, "I was planning my wedding when I was like 10!" One update to those plans, though: She now wants Ed Sheeran to perform at her wedding.
This isn't the first time Lovato has been asked if/when she and Valderrama will be tying the knot. In July, she told New Zealand radio station ZM, "I am very, very in love with him. I think we’ll probably wait a little bit longer, but if he asked tomorrow, I’d say yes.” Note: He did not ask the next day; the couple remains happily dating. The couple also denied engagement rumors this past February and in January 2014.
Seriously, give Demi Lovato some room to breathe. She's turning 23 tomorrow. Let her celebrate reaching that milestone before pressuring her to attain another. She's pretty open with her fans. When she does get engaged, she'll probably let them know. Until then, can Demi Lovato live?! (E! News)
