Maybe you watched the original Boy Meets World, but haven't tuned into the reincarnation because it just hurts too darn much (or, maybe you're just too old now). If that's the case, we have to let you in on a little secret: It's actually really good.
This is thanks in no small part to the show's young star Rowan Blanchard, who, in addition to totally nailing it on-screen, is making her mark on the front lines of feminism.
A fan recently posed a question to the actress on Tumblr about white feminism, intersectionality, and inclusivity. These aren't exactly easy subjects to tackle, let alone on social media, but Blanchard composed a preternaturally eloquent answer with aplomb and grace. The 13-year-old shared her thoughts with her 2.4 million Instagram followers, in three posts that have garnered upwards of 200,000 likes thus far.
We can't help but marvel at the power of social media in instances like these. Along with fellow teen actress Amandla Stenberg, Blanchard is shedding light on pressing issues and raising consciousness among her millions of young fans.
