Scroll through the commentary on Eloquii's Facebook page and a clear trend begins to emerge. Between the gushing comments about its stellar customer service and on-trend clothes, one little word consistently pops up. “I love those shoes!” exclaims one person. “Where can we buy those shoes?” another asks. “You've got to make a shoe line!” demands another enthusiastic customer. Well, ask and you'll receive. Eloquii has launched its first shoe collection — and it's right out of your footwear fantasies.
The 24-piece assortment is filled with options that echo Eloquii's aesthetic; a mix of trendy styles like leopard-print calf hair flats and snakeskin lace-up heels, as well as timeless pieces like classic black leather d'Orsay pumps. But aside from the stunning designs (available sizes 7 to 12), all of the shoes have been crafted to be 30% wider than normal-width styles, the boots have a 19-inch circumference (plus extra stretch), and every insole has been padded for added comfort and support. With the entire collection ringing in from $70 to $200, you can easily add a pair to your cart the next time you're shopping the site.
As Eloquii always seems to lead the plus-size pack in both style and customer service, an evolution to include shoes seems only natural. To learn more about this big step forward, we sat down to chat with these design Darwins; specifically, CEO Mariah Chase and VP of merchandising Julie Carnevale.
Read on to learn more about the design process, how Eloquii does business differently, and why you should be emailing them more.
