As someone who already lives an unusually grown-up life for a teenager — see: being a homeowner and dating a 25-year-old — you would think Kylie Jenner would have been eager to turn 18. But, not so fast. As reported by People, the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan wrote on her new app that she was apprehensive about reaching the landmark birthday on August 10.
"It's funny when I think about [how] people see me, everyone thinks that I want to be older than I am, that I've been in some huge rush to turn 18," she wrote. "But in a weird way, turning 18 was kind of sad for me. Sad, but exciting at the same time; it's a milestone."
Jenner added that now that she's 18, she feels "a whole lot more responsibility...People are expecting more out of me and that's overwhelming and nerve-racking." She also points out that her life in the spotlight makes it all the more difficult. "I'm still growing up, learning and making mistakes, just like any other teenager would – yet millions of people are watching and judging me," she continued. Can't say we disagree with you, Kylie: Adulthood ain't always easy for the rest of us, either.
