Ian Somerhalder’s Twitter Hacker Sent Love Note To Ex Nina Dobrev

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev broke off their romance back in 2013. But when the actor's Twitter account was hijacked Tuesday night, the last thing the hacker did was profess love for the Vampire Diaries actress. Somerhalder's Twitter started getting weird at about 9:45 p.m., having allegedly been taken over by user @cloudnine. The hacker sent 15 messages, all of which were pretty bizarre (but also fairly innocuous). "Who even is Ian Somerhalder," one of the tweets read. Once the hacker started to sense the jig was up, something of an exit speech popped up: "I am so sorry," followed by, "before I get locked out I just wanna say this has been a great experience." Then the Twitter takeover ended with a flourish: "I LOVE U @ninadobrev." We're guessing this was pretty awkward for everyone involved, including Somerhalder's wife, actress Nikki Reed. Ultimately, though, the hijinks didn't seem to interrupt the actor's social media stride much. After the romantic confession was removed, and Somerhalder regained control of his account, he continued on his quest to save the planet, wishing the world goodnight with a wink.
