R.L. Stine turns 72 on October 8. You probably know him as the author of the books that gave you a fear of ventriloquist dummies. And basements. And, honestly, most parts of your school. But, more hard-core Stine fans will remember that the beloved book series was also a TV show in the mid-'90s.
The series ran for 74 episodes, full of spooky photography and haunted auditoriums. And, like many other classic children's series, it's where some of today's stars landed their earliest gigs. We took a look back at the big names who make appearances on the spine-tingling series. There's a feminist movie star and a TV doctor, plus a very important Mean Girls player. So, enjoy some nostalgia before all your little cousins start talking about the Goosebumps film, due in theatres October 16.
