What was with celebrities this year? It appears that someone surgically removed their filters. Or maybe they decided 2015 was the year of IDGAF. Except, most of the famous people who made that decision eventually came to realize they did care and issued rapid apologies.
Whatever the reason, we didn't have to look too hard to find this list of awful, offensive, ignorant, and simply ridiculous things that came out of famous mouths (and keyboards) in the past 12 months. Of course, this could have been made up entirely of quotes said on The View and at Donald Trump rallies — and we did pick a few gems from there. But there were also some good (bad) utterances you may have forgotten, like the time Benedict Cumberbatch shocked us with a taboo racial slur. Or when rock goddess Chrissie Hynde got rape totally wrong. Even our beloved Chrissy Teigen put her foot in her mouth in an interview. Whether these statements were accidental or intentional, these quotes sure are fun to look back upon. (Our sincere apologies if instead, they make you angry all over again.)
